Wrath of Sparta is a new, large-scale expansion for Total War: ROME II that explores the Hellenic world, allowing players to experience the fascinating events of the Peloponnesian War.
The year is 432 BC. BC, and the Greek city-states lost their peace. At a meeting of the Peloponnesian League, the Athenians´ ostentatious prosperity provoked the discontent of Sparta, Corinth, and Boeotia, irreversibly upsetting the political balance.
But although the factions united against the Athenians, each had its own goals. The outcome of the conflict determines the future of all of Greece and who will rule the Hellenic world.
The Persian Empire watches and waits. The Persians are preparing their troops to exploit the Greek unrest for their own gain.
