This support is self-aligning with hydraulic collet clamping. It is designed for mounting the workpiece on a metal-cutting machine tool. The support consists of the housing (pos. 1), in the bore of which is located a hollow piston (pos. 3) with a conical seat. Inside the piston are an adjustable spring-loaded support (pos. 6) and a collet (pos. 4). Under the weight of the workpiece being prepared for machining, the support (pos. 6) moves downward. When oil is supplied under the piston (pos. 3), it moves upward, compressing the collet (pos. 4), which locks the support (pos. 6).
