Editor LDW by kosh

A program for furniture designers. It opens drawings (.ldw), fragments (.frw) and drawing libraries (.bln). You can add whatever is missing for production — dimensions, leaders, notes, tables, symbols, hatching — and output the whole set as a single PDF, to a printer, or to WMF or DXF. The original files are never changed: all edits are stored next to them in a separate file.

Features:

Drawings look the way they print: lines, title block, specifications.
Drawing libraries: sheets grouped in folders, rename, duplicate, restore a sheet, a folder or the whole library to its original state, update when the source file changes.
Dimensions: horizontal, vertical, aligned, radius, diameter, angle. The value is taken from the part and stays correct at any sheet scale.
Snapping to endpoints, intersections and hole centres; construction lines.
Drawing: lines, circles, arcs, rectangles and polygons with sizes typed from the keyboard.
Leaders with text, notes, hatching: glass, chipboard/MDF, wood, metal.
Tables: merged cells, header rows, sorting, numbering, totals, copy and paste with Excel, templates.
Symbols: item number, grain direction, view arrow, edge banding, surface roughness, face side. Reusable design presets with thumbnails — insert by double-click or drag and drop.
Enlarged detail views "A (2:1)" and partial scaling of tables and sections.
Stretch tool: frame a part of the drawing and drag — lines stretch and dimensions are recalculated.
Paste a drawing copied in the drawing editor straight from the clipboard.
Images on a sheet from a file or the clipboard. Image sheets: several images are laid out across sheets in a grid automatically, with or without a border and title block.
Hide and restore any objects; align and distribute.
Title block editing: product, name, date and other fields. Sheet numbering.
New sheets from A4 to A0: blank or with a border and title block, including your own title block template.
Save edit variants as separate files.
Output the whole set as one PDF in the required sheet order, print, export to WMF and DXF.
Customisable hotkeys and toolbars, mouse wheel inversion.

PRO version additionally:

Library of your own units and profiles with thumbnails, insert on a sheet by drag and drop.
Chain dimensions and dimensions from a common baseline.
Editing the lines and leaders of the drawing itself: type, thickness, colour, text.
Filling in a title block field on all sheets at once.
Cover sheet with a picture of the furniture.
Merging two libraries (portrait and landscape), choosing the more readable sheet.
PDF without the "free version" mark.

Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Works locally, no internet connection required.
