The Forest opens with a plane crash. You crawl out of the burning cabin onto a wooded peninsula, and a man in war paint carries your son away. What follows is survival and a search.
By day you chop trees, build shelter, set traps and strip the wreckage for supplies. At night the cannibals come. They study your camp, pull back, return in bigger numbers and act smart enough to be unsettling. The other half of the game is underground: caves you´ll have to go down into, and whatever lives there.
Online co-op. It´s just as scary with two, but at least there´s someone to scream at.
Endnight Games took the game to full release in April 2018 after four years in early access.
