Car service website calculators: tyres, fuel, braking, service cost
WHAT IT IS
A ready-made block for a car service or tyre shop website: a single HTML file with four
working calculators. Opens with a double click, drops into a site as is — no libraries,
no internet required.
WHAT IT CALCULATES
1. Tyres and rims — find an alternative size: old and new wheel diameter, difference in mm
and percent, ride height change, speedometer deviation, verdict against the ±3 % rule.
A second mode picks the tyre profile for a new rim diameter.
2. Fuel and trip cost — consumption per 100 km, price per litre, distance: fuel volume,
trip cost, price per kilometre and per 100 km.
3. Braking distance — speed, surface (dry, wet, snow, ice), reaction time: reaction
distance, braking distance, full stopping distance.
4. Service cost — a list of jobs with labour hours and parts: labour total, parts total,
net and gross. Prices and labour rates live in one config at the top of the file.
WHY A SITE OWNER WANTS IT
A calculator is a useful tool for the visitor and a reason to leave a request. The client
sees the price before calling, the workshop gets a lead.
WHAT IS IN THE ARCHIVE
- auto-calculators.html — the whole calculator: markup, styles and logic in one file.
- README.md — how to embed it, how to change service prices and the accent colour.
- test_cases.md — formulas, sources of the coefficients and reference calculations.
HOW IT WORKS
Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no frameworks or build step. Responsive from 320 to
1440 px, light and dark themes follow the system setting, recalculation is instant as you
type, input is validated as numeric. Formulas and reference examples are in test_cases.md.
