Did you know that the standard "Delete" function or simply formatting a flash drive doesn´t actually delete anything? Windows simply erases the drive´s contents, marking the occupied space as "free." The files, documents, passwords, and financial statements themselves remain physically on the flash drive.

Protection level: Basic (data can be recovered with specialized software).

How it works: The utility traverses all sectors of the drive, completely overwriting every byte with zeros or random data. After this, no trace of old files remains.
What it´s for: Optimal for preparing a flash drive or disk for transfer to another person (colleague, client) or before selling. Suitable for destroying personal archives, photographs, and medium-level work documents.
Speed: Depends on the drive´s capacity (on average, 10-20 minutes for medium-sized flash drives).
Protection level: High (software recovery is impossible).
3. Destruction: DoD 5220.22-M (US Military Standard)
How it works: An uncompromising algorithm developed by the Department of Defense. The program performs several cycles of overwriting the entire memory (first with zeros, then ones, and then pseudo-random numbers), physically burning any residual magnetic information.
Purpose: To destroy critical information. Accounting databases, cryptocurrency wallets, trade secrets, passport and contract scans. Use this mode if the storage media could fall into the hands of competitors or intelligence agencies.
Speed: Slow, deep process (takes time, but guarantees 100% success).
Protection Level: Maximum (recovery is impossible even with hardware data removal systems).
