How Reels Algorithms Work: A Technical Breakdown of Reach Growth

A practical guide to short-form video algorithms (Reels) — without myths or “secret hacks”.

This is a technical breakdown of how recommendation systems process and promote content: how a video gets into impressions, which signals boost reach, and why a video “doesn’t take off”.

What’s inside:

• How video processing works after upload and how the algorithm evaluates content

• How to pass the selection stage and get into recommendations

• The strongest signals for reach and virality metrics

• A ready-to-use “algorithm-first” checklist for every video

• A breakdown of popular myths: shadow bans, re-uploads, and more

• How to properly warm up a new account — step by step

• A glossary of terms explained in simple language

Who it’s for: creators, bloggers, experts, and SMM specialists who want to understand the system instead of acting at random.
