In 2013, an apocalypse struck the world, almost completely destroying humanity and turning the Earth´s surface into a poisoned wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow metro, and humanity was plunged into a new Middle Ages.
The year is 2033. An entire generation has grown up underground. Besieged city-stations fight among themselves for survival, while terrifying mutants roam beyond the cities.
Your name is Artyom. You were born in the final days before the Earth burned, but grew up underground. You had never ventured beyond the city limits before, but a fateful event forced you to embark on a desperate journey into the very center of the underground labyrinth to warn the remaining survivors of the monstrous threat looming over them.
