3. A colloidal solution of BaSO4 was obtained by merging solutions of BaCl and Na2SO4. In one case, a solution of barium chloride was taken in excess, in the other - sodium sulfate. Determine the charge of a colloidal particle of barium sulfate. Name the potential-determining ions and counterions in both cases.
