3. After burning a sample of 2 g of ore in a stream of oxygen in an electric furnace, 3.33 cm3 of a solution in which C(1/2I2) = 0.01125 mol/dm3 was consumed to titrate the SO2 formed and then absorbed by water. Determine the percentage of sulfur in cast iron. Answer: 0.06%
