3. Sodium iodide is a drug from the class of salts formed by a strong base and a strong acid, dissolves in water, undergoes dissociation into a sodium cation and an iodine anion. Methods for testing the authenticity of such ions are unified and set out in the General Pharmacopoeia Monograph “General reactions to authenticity.”
Calculate the portions required to detect sodium cations and iodine anions, and clarify the analysis method.
