A thin wire with a diameter of 0.05 mm is placed between the edges of two well-polished flat plates; the opposite ends of the plates are pressed tightly against each other (Fig. 40.3 a). The plates are illuminated perpendicular to the surface. On a plate 10 cm long, the observer sees interference fringes, the distance between which is 0.6 mm. Determine the wavelength.
