To determine the resistance, a Wheatstone bridge with a rheochord is used - a wire of length L, which has a high resistivity (Fig. 26.6). Here R is the reference resistance, Rx is the unknown resistance. By moving the sliding contact, the current in the galvanometer disappears. Calculate the required resistance under this condition (balance of the bridge).
