Calculate whether the separation of substances A and B on a column with 100 theoretical plates will be complete if the distribution coefficients are 5.0 and 15.0, respectively, the retained volume of the non-retained component is 2.5 ml, the volume of the stationary phase is 1.5 ml . Calculate the number of theoretical plates sufficient to quantify these substances (RS = 1).
