1. Under the action of potassium permanganate on amyl alcohol, a solution of valeric acid is formed. How much can be extracted from 100 ml of the resulting solution containing 3.7 g of acid by extraction with 30 ml of diethyl ether? The distribution coefficient of valeric acid in this system is 0.043. Answer: 3.2 g.
