2. What processes will take place on graphite electrodes during the electrolysis of an aqueous solution of a mixture of CdSO4 and ZnSO4 salts. What amount of electricity is passed through the electrolyzer if 16.8 liters of H2, 112.4 g of Cd and 32.7 g of Zn are released at the cathode? Show the type of polarization curves and determine the minimum voltage that must be applied to the electrodes for electrolysis.
