8. Bromine is extracted from 25 ml of its 0.05 M aqueous solution in 10 ml portions of carbon tetrachloride. The distribution coefficient of bromine between carbon tetrachloride and water is 23. What volume of CCl4 is needed to lower the concentration of bromine in water to 1*10-4 mol/dm3? What degree of extraction is achieved under these conditions?
