Calculate the time during which a current of 0.5 A must be passed through a solution of silver salt in order to cover a metal plate with a layer of silver 0.02 mm thick, if the total surface of the plate is 500 cm2, and the current efficiency is 95.5% (d Ag = 10, 5 g/cm3). Write the redox equation for the cathode and anode. Answer: 7.83 hours.
