Determine [H] and pH of phosphate buffer (mixture of 0.5 M KH2PO4 and 0.5 M K2HPO4). Write the reaction equations for its interaction with small amounts of strong acids and bases. Explain the action of a buffer solution to regulate [H] and [OH-] in an aqueous solution when acids and alkalis are added.
