2. To determine phosphorus in steel by the blue color of the reduced phosphorus-molybdenum complex on a photometer, the following data were obtained for standard samples of CO steel:
Phosphorus content in steel, % 0.011 0.024 0.031 0.040 0.055
Photometer readings 48 29 19 12 5
Determine the phosphorus content in the test sample (in %) if the reading on the aperture scale is 24 divisions.
