Belladonna is a gothic adventure game that is twisted and dark. Take on the role of a corpse girl who has risen from the dead in an abandoned laboratory and unravel the mysteries of your own death and resurrection.

After the death of their young child, Dr. Wolfram von Trauerschloss and his wife Belladonna are forced to deal with the tragedy as best they can. The Doctor falls into a dark obsession, dedicating his life to finding victory over death. Madness spreads and Belladonna soon descends into despair, but the story takes a surprising turn as the dead come back to life and the living cannot be trusted.

The game explores various themes such as the roles of villains and heroes, moral value systems, and various types of horror. It´s a point-and-click adventure and will ask you to read longer texts in a style inspired by Mary Shelley´s Frankenstein or Modern Prometheus. This game isn´t as scary as a Hollywood horror movie, but it´s definitely not child´s play. The story takes you to an eerie place beyond life and death and places you in the minds of non-living beings and their world view.
