In the Fates Divided chapter set, the story begins in AD 200. e. Yuan Shao and Cao Cao, friends since childhood, found themselves at a crossroads. These powerful princes have been wary of each other´s growing ambitions for many years, and Yuan Shao´s patience is running out. They will soon become mortal enemies.
Fates Divided makes major changes to a number of game mechanics, adds another faction and new units to the game, and also offers updated play styles for older factions.
New start date
By 200 A.D. e. the protagonists of our drama have become powerful and influential sovereigns. Now you can lead Cao Cao´s conquest campaigns - or lead Yuan Shao´s great army to crush a former comrade.
Although the conflict of the northern princes is at the center of the new story, you can play as other heroes, fulfilling the ambitions of Liu Bei or Ma Teng.
New faction from several generations
Liu Yan is a cunning strategist and an aspiring ruler, eager to create a lasting future for his family. Use a special aspiration mechanic to successfully transfer power to Liu Zhang, who can multiply his father´s success, or watch Liu Yan´s hopes turn to dust.

Fates Divided offers many new units for the armies of Cao Cao, Yuan Shao, and Liu Yan, as well as the ability to recruit elite units of the Northern Army.
