A diatomic gas from a certain initial state is compressed to a volume five times less than the initial one. In one case, compression is performed isothermally, in the other, adiabatically. Determine: a) under which of the processes and how many times the work spent on compression will be greater; b) under which of the processes and how many times does the internal energy of the gas increase?
