Two thermally insulated cylinders are connected by a tap. There is 1 mole of gas in the cylinder with a volume of V₁, for which the molar heat capacity Cv and the van der Waals constant a are known. The cylinder with a volume of V₂ is evacuated to a high vacuum. The valve is opened and the gas expands adiabatically. Find: a) increment of the internal energy ∆U of the gas; b) the work A₁ performed by the gas against the internal forces of the interaction of molecules; c) increment of temperature ∆T of gas.
