A beam of plane-polarized light passes through 2 polarizers in succession. The transmission plane of the 2nd polarizer is perpendicular to the plane of polarization of the beam incident on the 1st polarizer. At what angle between the transmission plane of the 1st polarizer and the plane of polarization of the light incident on it will the intensity I2 of the light passing through both polarizers be maximum?
